The Triple Creek Ranch just North of Sioux City held a fundraiser and “Roped for the Troops” today! Ropers from all over the tri-state area came out to take part in a roping competition while raising money for Support Siouxland Soldiers’ Fallen Soldier Fund. Colonel Miller, Wing Commander of the 185th National Air Guard, spoke about how important it is to support our Troops especially after they return home from deployment, while Sonic provided free food for everyone in attendance. The winners of the competition were awarded hand crafted Fallen Soldier belt buckles and there was something for everyone on the silent auction. The funds raised today go towards helping Siouxland Military families who have lost a Soldier in combat or injured Service Members who are enduring a financial emergency. If you would like to make a donation to this very important cause, please email email@example.com A Huge Thank You goes out to Triple Creek Ranch and everyone in attendance!!
Support Siouxland Soldiers teamed up with the 185th Iowa National Air Guard to pack and ship over 50 care-packages for the deployed Siouxland Service Members on June 25, 2012. Thank you to Black Hills Energy for donating hundreds of snacks and supplies to fill the care-packages and Hy-Vee for catering dinner for everyone who came out and helped pack the boxes! We are very excited to show our Siouxland Service Members that we support them and send them a taste of home! If you would like to help send care-packages, stay tuned for our next care-pack in August!
