Local organizations who serve Veterans are teaming up to provide food, support and resources to Siouxland Veterans and Military Families the day before Veteran’s Day, Tuesday, November 10  from 11:00 – 1:30 p.m. at the American Red Cross, 4200 War Eagle Dr. Sioux City.

All Veterans and Military families are invited to attend this Free event. Support Siouxland Soldiers will provide a free lunch and a weeks worth of groceries. The Elks Lodge will provide brand-new free winter coats to Military children. Texas Road House will hand out free gift cards. Haircuts by Becky and Rumor Haz It will provide free haircuts; Main Street Massage will provide free massages and Wells Blue Bunny will provide free ice cream. Operation Engage America will provide resources about PTSD and TBI and over 20 Local Veteran-serving agencies will provide information about what resources are available to Veterans and Military Families.

Operation Engage America (OEA) OEA is a non-profit organization that provides support, awareness, education and resources to Veterans, Community Members and Their Families Living with PTSD and TBI and for Those in the Community Who Want to Support Them and be a Part of the Solution.

A few volunteers are needed to donate side dishes for the meal. This could include potato salad or pasta salad. Thank you to Cubby’s in the Dunes for preparing Pulled Pork sandwiches for the lunch and a private donor for donating sandwich buns, chips, Little Debbie cakes and paper ware.
