The State of Iowa has formalized a program, and there are strong efforts in both Nebraska and South Dakota, to ensure we are doing all that we can to provide a path to full-time civilian employment for the brave men and women who have served our country in uniform.

This morning, the Siouxland Chamber of Commerce hosted a press conference with the Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA) and the City of Sioux City to promote Sioux City as a certified Home Base Iowa (HBI) community.  Becoming an HBI community will require 275 local, Iowa-based businesses to become certified HBI employers by completing the HBI Form (attached) which requires a good faith effort to hire at least one veteran in the next four years or prior to December 31, 2018.

Please join the many other businesses, large and small alike, that have demonstrated their support of our veterans by joining this important program.Home-Base-Iowa_Front-and-Back-(3)-1 Home-Base-Iowa_Front-and-Back-(3)-2
