Honoring, supporting and making a real difference in the lives of our Veterans is the mission of Support Siouxland Soldiers. This Veteran’s Day we will be thanking our Veterans for their dedication and loyal service to our country in a big way! On Saturday, November 10th Support Siouxland Soldiers will be providing free groceries for Veterans and partnering with the Sioux City Musketeer’s to provide a fun-filled evening for our Siouxland Veterans.
On Saturday, November 10th, Support Siouxland Soldiers will be distributing free groceries and a $20 HyVee gift card to Veterans and Military Families in need between 10:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. at the New Life Lutheran Church of Sergeant Bluff, 1st and Baker St. To sign-up for free food, Veterans and Military families can email firstname.lastname@example.org Huge, “Thank You” to our Siouxland HyVee Stores for their donation of $3,400 in gift cards for our Siouxland Veterans!
Military Appreciation Night at the Musketeer’s Hockey Game
Support Siouxland Soldiers is partnering with the Sioux City Musketeer’s and the Siouxland Surgery Center to provide a fun-filled evening of Musketeer’s Hockey on Saturday, November 10th. starting at 7:00 p.m. The Siouxland Surgery Center is providing two free tickets to Service Members and Veterans with a Military, VFW, VA or American Legion I.D. or a DD214. Tickets can be picked up at the Tyson Event Center Box Office (401 Gordon Drive, Sioux City, IA) beginning Monday, November 5th. Additional tickets can also be purchased at this time to arrange free seats next to paid seats. For additional ticket information, please call 712-279-4850.
The Musketeer’s players will be wearing commemorative, camouflaged jerseys with the Support Siouxland Soldiers and Siouxland Freedom park patches. 100% of the proceeds from the jersey auction will be donated to both organizations. Join us for a patriotic evening to honor those who have served so valiantly in the past and the men and women who courageously serve today.

Texas Roadhouse – Free lunch, Monday, Nov. 12, 2012. 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Choose from one of 10 free meals, plus sides and a drink. Offer good for All veterans – including all active, retired or former U.S. military. ID Required.
HyVee – Free Breakfast, Monday, Nov. 12, 2012 7:00 – 11:00 a.m. Stop into any Siouxland Hy-Vee grocery store with in-store dining and get a free breakfast on Monday. You’ll get to choose from a wide variety of breakfast foods set out on a buffet.
Olive Garden –Free lunch or dinner, Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012. All day. Veterans can choose from Seafood Alfredo, Chicken Parmigianino, Soup, Salad, & Bread sticks, Grilled Sausage and Peppers Rustica, Cheese Ravioli, or Spaghetti & Meat sauce.
Applebee’s – Sunday, November 11, 2012 All day to get your Veterans day free meal. You’ll be able to choose a meal from a limited Veteran’s Day menu that includes steak, cheeseburgers, chicken tenders, salad, pasta, chicken, and shrimp. You can see the complete menu by using the link above. This deal is dine-in only and beverages and gratuity are not included. You’ll need to bring in one proof of military service such as a U.S. Uniform Service ID card, U.S. Uniform Services Retired ID card, current Leave and Earnings statement, photograph in uniform, be wearing your uniform, a veterans organization card such as American Legion or VFW, or a DD214. Find an Applebee’s near you and call ahead to find out if they are participating in the Veterans Day free meal.
Famous Dave – Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012. 10% off the entire meal, including everyone who comes in with a Veteran.
Little Caesar’s – Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012. All day. Stop into a participating Little Caesar’s and get a free order of Crazy Bread. I recommend calling ahead to verify that your local Little Caesar’s is participating. You’ll need to present a valid military I.D. to get this freebie.
Golden Corral – Monday, November 12, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Golden Corral will be giving out Veterans Day free meals to any person who has ever served in the U.S. military or is on current active duty. All Golden Corral locations will be participating and no identification is required to get your free meal. Last year, Golden Corral served over 375,000 veterans a Veterans Day free meal!
Chili’s – Free entree, Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012. All day. You’ll get to choose from a special Veteran’s day menu. There’s also a reduced cost ($5) brownie sundae that can be purchased. You’ll need to show proof of military service to get your Veterans Day free meal – a U.S. Uniform Services ID Card, a U.S. Uniform Services Retired ID Card, a Current Leave and Earnings Statement, Veterans Organization Card, a DD214, a photograph in uniform, or wear your uniform.
